Information tool of the Center for Studies and Initiatives for Full Employment, directed by Lorenzo Barbera. The history of the magazine embraces all the bottom-up movements for local development in the Bel\u00ecce Valley before and after the 1968 earthquake, documenting years of territorial engagement and the direct contribution of Bel\u00ecce\u2019s Citizens Committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meridione citt\u00e0 e campagna (1974-1980)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Historical publication of CRESM, Meridione citt\u00e0 e campagna is a magazine on participatory local development designed to analyze and understand the realities of the South. This publication has been an instrument of encounter and debate among those subjects, organized or not, who considered the \u201cSouthern Question\u201d as the main contradiction of the Italian economic and political system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cDanilo Dolci\u201d historical archive contains precious original documents from the \u201cCenter for Studies and Initiatives for Full Occupation in Western Sicily\u201d founded by Danilo Dolci and Lorenzo Barbera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also books and magazines whose realization has been curated by CRESM over more than 50 years of activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HISTORICAL ARCHIVE<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The historical archive \u201cDanilo Dolci\u201d has been formally recognized by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities with a decree dated 1\/4\/2008 prot. 68 \/ 34.22.07 \/ 1.6. This archive, which counts 2.300 volumes<\/strong>, is located at the library of the Economic and Social Research Center for the South \u2014 CRESM. It was also formally recognized by the Sicilian Soprintendenza Archivistica of particularly important historical interest<\/em> because it contains precious documents on the Centro Studi e Iniziative per la piena occupazione nella Sicilia Occidentale<\/em> founded by Danilo Dolci and Lorenzo Barbera. All the documents are available to the public \u2013 historians, researchers, students, and everyone interested \u2013 prior authorization of CRESM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
